BONDED BY CREATIVE PASSION

Thank you to everyone who came out to support our first family creative passion launch.

Joseph’s Creative Passion:  PAINTING

My passion for painting started during the pandemic. It all started when I suggested to my family that we all paint whatever we wanted on a canvas. I bought the materials and we gathered around our dining table, then all of us started painting. From that time on, I watched YouTube videos about painting and studied them. Most of my paintings are inspired by nature. I just spontaneously paint the ideas that come out of my mind using acrylic paint on canvas.

We then posted my paintings to my wife Claire’s Facebook page and got great feedback, even getting inquiries from some if they were for sale. During our visit to Salt Spring Island, B.C. this summer, we connected with other artists and gallery owners. I had nice conversations with them about art and those talks inspired me to take my crafts to the next level. I am proud to share with you all my artwork, called  Ausome Paintings.      #selftaughtartist

Claire’s Creative Passion:  BAKING

I have been an artist since childhood. Since grade school, I’ve enjoyed being in the kitchen and watching the cook and baker. I started baking cakes way back in the UK, learning through the thick baking books I have. Then, children came. I had to set aside this passion for baking due to priorities. When we moved to Vancouver, I was excited when I saw a culinary arts school close to our apartment. But again, priorities took place. Last year, I thought of what to bake with purple yam (ube) (for fun). Thanks to YouTube I learned how to make ube-flavoured crinkles, muffins, and tarts, and even sans rival cake. Feedback from friends and co-workers inspired me to learn more about baking, which evolved to include cupcake bouquets. Now I can combine my love for art and baking. After all, Joseph (my hubby), told me, “It’s been long overdue.” Thus, Claire’s Cupcakes and Crinkles is born. #artincupcakes #ediblearts

Jennifer’s Creative Passion:  WRITING

ABOUT THE BOOK

Full of shocking twist, dark romance, and crackling emotions, Revenge Mistaken (A Twisted Love Story) is a powerful debut that will leave you wanting more. Published on June 03, 2022.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

I’m an avid fan of romantic novels. Reading is my passion. It keeps me calm and focused. I believe that no matter what age group we’re in, we should never forget that we have the power of “self-reinventing”.
